Lantern Notes

Thoughtful reflections for a connected, kinder world.

Summer Pause

Dear Reader,

I’m writing this note from the calm of my kitchen table on an early morning, enjoying the soft lights and the clear promise of a new day. My family is still asleep; just me and my bunny, quietly taking in this beautiful morning. A small gift from life.

As summer settles in, the days have slowed, and with everyone at home, I feel the need to slow my steps as well. I need time to reconnect, with myself, my loved ones, through long conversations, lazy mornings, and moments spent in the calm of nature.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be stepping away from the Lantern Notes project. It’s time for some rest, and also, a little rethinking. This project means a great deal to me. And like any living thing, it grows, it changes shape, it flickers and flares. I’m giving it space to do just that.

There’s something forming on the horizon. Lately, I find myself drawn to the pulsing rhythm of daily life, the ways it help hold us steady when things feel too much, when life feels too full. It’s something I’m exploring in the background, as time allows, and I look forward to sharing more when I return.

So, for now, consider this a lantern placed on the windowsill. It’s not going out. Just dimming for a while.

With love,
Anna, the Lantern Keeper
