The Lantern Diary was born with two intentions.
One is personal. It brings me joy to share small stories from my life with you. We could call it writing therapy, a way for me to ease my mind, find clarity, and create a little order in the chaos of my busy life.
If you’re familiar with the world of Harry Potter, you might remember Dumbledore and his Pensieve: a shallow, silvery basin where he would place strands of memory, drawn from his temple. He didn’t discard them, but stored them, so they wouldn’t crowd his thoughts. Always accessible, but not overwhelmingly.
That’s what Lantern Diary is for me: a place to gather what I’ve lived, and let it rest in the light.
The other purpose is for you.
I want to offer something deep, meaningful, and important. Something that makes life feel gentler, slower, more yours. Through stories, reflections, and rituals, my hope is to create small shifts that lead to lasting change. Not louder. Not faster. Lovelier. Real.
And that’s Lantern Diary for you: offers a tender pause in a noisy world. An invitation to slow down, reflect, and feel a little more connected to yourself and to the world around you.
Why don’t we try this?
Do you want to come along?
With love,
Anna, the Lantern Keeper
